...Old Mr. Thornton had been staying in Somersetshire with Sir Thomas Acland, when he heard two countrymen talking together. Mr. Thornton came back and said to Sir Thomas, "What very extraordinary proverbial expressions they have in these parts. Just now I heard a man say 'shake an ass and go' - such a very extraordinary proverbial expression." "Well," said Sir Thomas, "the fact is there are a great many French expressions lingering in this neighbourhood: that meant 'Chacun a son gout!*'"

Особенно хороши львы Св. Иеронима - улыбчивые, раскормленные и вальяжные, как толстые добрые коты. Но вот этот лев, которого только что опубликовала многоуважаемая emma_loy - какое-то чудо. Как будто две плюшевые игрушки в детской расшалились.
