По ОDЕ-Е Найджер, по OADE-E - Ниджер, ну, как айзер-изер примерно. С самой Нигерией точно та же история.
А что до автора лимерика (там чаще as she rode on a) и Гилберта, так то их вольность, дабы срифмовать со скаутами-шестилетками.
